A great shot. Timed perfect showing a magnificent wingspread. A fairly clear shot, some noise, but overall a nice capture.

WOW, what an amazing capture Rita! Perfect in every way. We have two of these that live either somewhere on our property or very close by. They are so big and beautiful, but make a lot of noise.

This is one heck of a capture of a very elusive bird, Some noise in the pic. but the action you captured is so darn good, and shows the size of the largest of woodpeckers. Tigs♥ =^..^=

Wow, what a perfectly timed action shot of the Mrs. Pileated. The female lacks red mark behind base of lower mandible (the upper or lower part of the beak), like the male has. They sure are a beautiful bird and we have them here also
