This is just a picture I found interesting that I took the other day. I had to do some big project for geography and part of it was to take pictures of a part of the city. I didn't intend to upload any of them, but when I was sifting through the shots I took, I stumbled upon this one. I need some advice here, I'm not sure about the darkness, if it's too dark...

Really good in b+w, and I find the angle rather interesting. I'd suggest taking it when the sky has clouds to add some depth. I do like the small leaves silhouetted against the sky though. Good shot!

Nice photo - full view is a must though! The reflection in the window is especially cool in my opinion.

Sounds like the project i had to do for geograpy - looking at the CBD and shops etc. Nice BW effect. The darkness of the buildings is very moody. And those branches are in just the right place! Thanks for posting!

Yeah, but honestly, its just a few shades too dark. a rule of thumb, if your BLACKS are BLACK and your WHITES are WHITE, then its usually good contrast. but in some fine areas, you dont see the texture because its too dark, looks black, and the sky is a little shady, it could be a little whiter. However, the black rectangles uner the actual clock are nice and black as they should be. so your really close to perfect.

plus its a cool picture too.

if i had an enlarger (we should pitch on one) we could take the negative and play around with them, and then you would see how much forgiveness you have with your pictures.
