Located in Paris, Idaho, USA. This place of worship is recognized as one of the true pioneer landmarks of the West and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. In 1889, this Romanesque Mormon tabernacle was constructed of red sandstone that had to be transported by wagon or sled from a quarry 18 miles away. A free, self-guided tour reveals intricate wood ceilings and stone carvings. A small museum houses heirlooms and objects of art left by the homesteaders.

Maybe I can go to Paris for my anniversary after all- Paris, Idaho that is. Very nice picture accompanied by interesting information. Are you going to post some of the ceiling and carvings?

I like the composition and the colors a lot. The photo is very well exposed also. If I may nitpick a little, I feel like the focus is a bit soft but that is my personal opinion and I always have a little bit of a preference for sharp photos. Other than that, I think this is definitely a beautiful photo. Thanks for sharing.

A nicely composed scene and good view of the tabernacle. Lovely colours in the photo. Nice details and architecture style in the building.

Think about the photo before and after, never during. The secret is to take your time. You mustn't go too fast. The subject must forget about you. Then, however, you must be very quick. Henri Cartier-Bresson
