I am currently teaching an advanced Photoshop course at the university. Today I'll be helping my students understand some of the fun things you can do with text in Photoshop. Since we just celebrated Martin Luther King day, I wanted to create a poster that contained his "I Have a Dream" speech, but also incorporate an image of its author. This was done in Photoshop using what is called a clipping mask. I created and formatted the text of the speech, then found an image of Dr. King online, pasted that in a layer above the text, and then clipped that layer to the text as a clipping mask. Hope you enjoy. Photo credit: photographed by Marion Trikosko in a 1964 press conference.
