Commercial retouchers are a bit like the Magic Circle - we aren't exactly prone to dishing out our secrets so here's one for you :-)

good tutorial, I use my own combination of blurs and healing and ghosting for my portraits, however I have never worked with a face with this many flaws haha, good job. I think the smudge tool gives the look of a good makeup job.

i know - she must know someone in the company REAL well - i cant believe she gets paid for this stuff and turns up to a shoot looking like the aftermath of curry and beer binge. In her defense - high fashion photography is still done on large format conventional transparencies which are very detailed and show up EVERY flaw. I do a lot of this kind of work and I'm sure it's a constant reassurance to the ladies out there how rough these models can be in real life. Spot on BTW with the make up comment - the idea is to look like a natural high lustre powder based makeup.
