I've never seen such a clear shot of a lift off. Looks like it needs to be rotated 90 degrees clockwise to be be accurate, but a great shot either way.

thanks one and all - Delzvir - the shot is at the angle it was from the NASA archive so I can only assume this is taken at top of its arc flight path shortly before booster ejection.

you didnt see how bad the original was. its had as much sharpening and noise reduction as it will take without it starting to look false.

Wow, that is impressive. Makes you wonder how much thrust those solid rocket boosters pump out during lift off. Great photo.
