the program is suspended indefinitely due to the failure of the foam cladding on the fuel tank again. it was generally perceived that this was their last chance to get it right due to rising concerns with regards to the feasibility and cost of the shuttle program.

That is just one sparkling, beatiful piece of machinery, and we don't look so bad from here either. It's a wonderfully balanced shot too

I don't if this is currently being done at NASA or not, but i would hope they would be working on a totally new shuttle design.
