Suspended over the giant damaged solar array, astronaut Scott Parazynski throws a wave to the cameras during his repair mission to patch up damage caused during its deployment. The STS-120 crew are now back aboard Discovery and are due to undock from the ISS early Monday morning before, weather permitting, touching down in Florida Wednesday lunch time.

The astronaut's name sounds familiar - must be of Polish origin ... We, Poles, are very skillful and have lots of potential !!! LOL

I just saw actual footage of this last night while viewing the evening news. I can't imagine being suspended like that in space & then concentrating on making repairs. Whew, makes me sweat just thinking about it. I guess that is where long hours of training & skill come into play. The astronaut looks at ease while waving. A fantastic post!

The astronaut almost looks like he floating. It is amazing how the only thing that keeps him from floating off into space is a foot pedstal.

I used to be an idealist, but I got mugged by reality.
