These old Railroad wheels make an interesting study. The old red of rust against the blue and white in the sky. This image was shot with a 20mm wide-angle lens giving the image an exaggerated depth of field.
Like the pattern, the distance and for some reason I always love rust. Another effect is that the view you got messes with scale. They could be small or monsterously huge.
Is that the actual sky in the background, and if so what is behind it. It is a very interesting angle that it would have nothing in the background other then sky. It is also an unusual clouds. Very nice. I very much like the colors in this one. Nice shot.
"A piece of toast with butter always lands butter side down, and a cat always lands on its feet. What happens if a piece of toast is tied butter side down to the back of a cat? Does it perpetually hover above the ground in indecision when dropped?"
You have a very good eye for what makes for an interesting image. This, in particular, is visually strong and intriguing and grabs your attention outright.
Vibrant colours. The repetitive shapes of the wheels and their 'rust' quality and texture, work well in this image against the pristeen sky. Nice juxtaposition of textures, in my mind ... hence, ergo ... in summary ... the intrigue of this photo.
I don't know if you have anymore of this scene in particular, but, I am always curious as to which images, if any, the artist discards in favour of posting a particular one. For example; did you take any others from a greater height? The disappearing perspective of the wheels ... any others? What all else was in the surrounding area of the shot?
Wow. This is a mix of nature and technology at its best I think. Once of a best shot I have seeing of that kind. Well done. By the way that sky is simply awesome. I feel like I want a piece of it.
Wow, Michael..this is a very interesting image. The wheels look like a row of lions made of steel...!! Very nice colors (polarizing filter ?) and good depth. High marks.
What a cool contrast, the colors fighting and blending at the same time.. looks good, eerie and inviting, barren but adventurous.
Great compo, colors are good, the sky is a bit unfocused, bey infinite focus would've worked better?
thats an amzing shot.. stunning.. very well done there.. keep it up.. the wheels and sky and gorund go so well together.. ma yi ask where this was shot.?
