Again the Mighty Columbia River near Portland Oregon. This is one of my favorite places to photograph from. From here the River never looks the same from moment to moment. It is truly a magical place............Remember my friends:............When you were born, you cried and the world rejoiced. Live life in such a manner that when you die, the world cries and you rejoice.

This looks like a lovely place to be Michael. I love the shading in this image, it gives it a lot of 'character'! The colors are very intense & eye pleasing. The sky looks like it is full of sapphires and opals! I can see why it is one of your favorite places. Another good capture.Glad to see you back... I missed you :~)

Great shot 10/10. If I was a democrat I would vote twice.

Michael was this taken as the sun comes up, or when the sun was going down?
I love it either way, just curious!

I like the patterns of light and shadow in this. I thought the location looked familiar, and your words nailed down the memory of visiting there about 10 years ago. I grew up in sight of the Ohio river, so powerful rivers are nothing new...still the Columbia is spectacularly impressive. One can only imagine how Lewis and Clark felt.

Yes indeed..this Columbia Gorge is somethin..considering the Pioneers rolled in with their wagons..searching for a new life...and all they went thru..Its like the gorge was carved by something much mightier than man....for sure....it IS very beautiful Michael...remember when Multonamah Falls froze over? I will never forgive myself for not going out there to take a once in a lifetime photo...did you get one ? thanx for posting this one, its gorgeous.
