My next-door neighbors garden had this lovely Hibiscus growing in it and I couldn't resist. Later that evening we had one of our famous dust storms with winds up to 45 MPH (72.4 KPH). The dust was so bad you couldn't even see across the street. Luckily it only lasted about three hours, not so lucky for the Hibiscus. It didn't make it. The poor thing was torn to shreds. There appears to be some more buds in the making so maybe all isn’t lost after all.

it would be very nice, but i dont like how it is off center in the background.
but the colors are awesome and its very crisp.
all in all 9/10 good job keep up the good work!

Hello Michael! Aren't flowers just so amazing?!!! The beauty they give us is so wonderful. I love how yu captured the green tinge coming thru the flower petals and my gosh I cant help but wonder what kind of digital you got!! THis macro is just totally awesome!!! Magnificient is more like it! Bravo my friend bravo!! and Yes its sad that the hibiscus got destroyed, but it gave of its beauty so well before that..kind of like our life, if we could just laeae the same feeling after we are gone...and isnt it great that there are those "buds"...smile..

I just came across this ( I see it was from 2005 !! ) This is my favorite type of photo-art! I would love to do more of these myself! There is something about looking at things in nature and seeing a miniature picture within a picture ! I think you did a wonderful job with this!
