A Soft Bearded Iris in full bloom. Shot with a Sony Handycam DCR-TRV50. I wanted to see the difference between the Sony and Nikon Coolpix 885. One I put in my pocket the other I use primarily for movies. Both are excellent and easy to use. I generally snap and shoot but for this one I used a tripod. No FX.

This a beautiful capture, I'm very impressed on the quailty of it as well. I have a digital movie camera as well and it takes stills too and I never could get it to take a picture as good as this. Very well done.

Very nice color, I would have liked to see more of the flower though... The texture of the flower itself is really nice and the splash of yellow in the center brings it together well. Cheers!

Not too bad. The colors are great but I do have to mention the lack of crispness around the edges. Also would have liked to see more flower, maybe with an out of focus green-ish background (maybe some foilage in the background). Overall not a bad image by any means.

Ephesians 2: 8 & 9, "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." Why did Jesus have to die on the cross if all it took was good works to get to heaven? And if you had to earn salvation it wouldn't be a gift, it would be a wage. And if you had to be good enough to get saved then how do you know when your there?
