My contribution to noahnottÂ’s initiative. Thanks to him :-)
Reworked on PS.
Too long to explain the list of edits. I tried to show the real dimension of the dark area. I applied a special sharp filter because the focusing on the tree wasn't perfect IMO.
Also, I increased a bit the moon's size and deleted the little star...
Obviously, I played with the color saturation tools.
I increased the vignetting with PTLens

Great colours, and the tree is perfect. Stunning picture

Thanks, but the composition comes from noahnott's original image. You have to comment only the edits here :-)

Beautiful work Pierre. Nicely done indeed. :o)

I never thought to investigate visually the landscaped horizon. Have an idea of the 'how' there. Shadow/Highlight adjustments? Possibly?

That aside. Brilliantly clean (noise/grain ... gone) and a good presentation with your choice of framing. I like it a lot.

Hi Pierre....nice job on this rework. I like how you brought out the landscape in the foreground as well as the softness of the colors that the overall image projects. This 'assignment' is fun so far!
thanks :=)

Pierre, wonderful rework on Noah's image. I do like how you brought out the highlights in the previously darkened areas. The sky looks super clean too. Very well done.

Lovely, vibrant colours. I do see a little grain, and pixellation in the foreground - perhaps due to sharpening. But the moon is nice and clear, and the distant clouds well defined.

I like the way you opened the detail in the shadow areas even if it has started to break up a little. Increasing the size of the moon was a good idea and brings it back to a more natural size. The colours are believable and pleasant. All together it’s a very competent rework.

Once again..bravo Pierre! Of course the colours are fantastic. The slightly gentle touch of the sunset is just perfect and the tree, so tall and proud..it stands there like a guard, guarding over the night time. So you named it very fittingly. You took away the little star..ah well...I love the moon. This is a most creative posting my friend...Thank you so much. Verena
