This is a scene of a paddy field which is at the early stage of seed time. I grew up in a country side which was filled with paddies like this but I can’t get enough of seeing them. Location: Ududumbara – Sri Lanka.

How utterly fascinating Priyantha! I have never seen a picture quite like this before! The planting is quite a bit different than what we are used to...I presume there is a reason for this? The color is amazing & the planting pattern makes for a very interesting and diverse design. Thank you for sharing with us and I certainly understand why you never tire of seeing them! Thanks ;~)

What a cool shot. Very good use of cropping and composition. I would have made it slightly darker, but that's just me. good job, keep it up.

The fields create a nice abstract pattern and the green is very lush. Very nice work. Into the faves...

A wonderful image, Priyantha, it looks so mysterious but also very soothing at the same time. The green and yellowish colors add a very peaceful feel while the different ground levels remind me of a labyrinth. Great work from you, my friend, thumbs up !!!

Hey Priyantha, this is what makes me long to catch an airplane and visit you!
I can't explain it really but somehow this gives me a feeling of home coming. I think I could be perfectly happy working those paddies.
Great piece of art my friend!
P.s. my parents in law should arrive in Colombo about now, but I am not sure you would want to meet them......

Well, I can't even pronounce Ududumbara, but looks really good! :)
Impressive shot, this could be an abstract painting or similar. Really nice work from u, capturing this the way you did.

How original. The paddy fields make a very nice artistic composition. Honestly I was waiting for such captures, sceneries we won't be able to see very often. The only thing I don't like here is the C-index, lol. Splendid photo.

Beautiful photograph! The terracing is fascinating. I do however feel off balance when I look at it. Why? I can't say! I am guessing it has to do with the read left to write and the lines of the terracing not matching that pattern in my noggin. The color is great as is the exposure. Nice capture:-)

This photo has a nice center to it with the curve of the landscape top and bottom leading to the tree and the broder is the perfect to enhance this.Very well done.

Great picture! If I may, I would like to say that I'd prefer this without borders... reminds me of another picture I saw here, called "rice fields" which is similar although very hilly as oppposed to this flattish landscape,
