Interesting shot. I like the fact that the three main colors are red white and blue, red and white stripes, a blue sky with stars... and fireworks. As Emily said above the streaks of light make the eye travel through the photo, and that's nice, but I think it might also have been interesting to crop it in portrait format. Either way, it's an interesting shot!

The first thing that strikes me is the color, then the comp. The fire works are nice, but almost not necessary in making the image work. A very good evening shot!
