'Look at that sky.. looks.. threatening, doesn't it?'

'Hey.. did you feel that drop? Think it's starting to rain..'

First and foremost.. tip of the creative hat to Mike; aka FlimBB for the creative seed to this fractal.

That said..

..//.\\. This fractal was created in Apophysis 7x.15c from a blank flame. And to make things more interesting while in the chair.. the 32-bit version (not quite stable, however.. more flexibility on the note of variations). .//.\\..

..//.\\. Feel free to share your thoughts .. and .. critiques. .//.\\..

Simply beautiful. I see it somewhat like a black hole, sucking planets and light into it. I have never tried Apophysis but I have seen many excellent artworks by you and others who have made use of it.

Eye of the storm... All's very well but why the rain keeps falling from below. This is not falling but spraying upwards - considering the direction...
Otherwise: thanks for sharing LOL
Otherwise2: this is charming regardless of the rain direction - why, in outer space the gravity laws apply differently, everybody knows.
Otherwise3: your images always fit perfectly my relatively new monitor purchased for the purpose of tax evasion - 1920 * 1080.
No more otherwises.
Perfectionist as always you are, Les.

Oops?

Truth be told.. I did take some creative (fractal) artistic license with the (thematic) orientation of this flame. Inverted.. didn't look as visually pleasing.. go figure?

Any -ways..

Appreciate yous (John, Marzena and Alex) stopping by and sharing your thoughts. :o)

Here we go! Excellent creative interpretation, sir. I loves me some Apophysis :) It really does seem to be absorbing all things around it. And thank you for the Kudos.

Emptiness is not nothingness. It is simply the opposite of full of it.

I know very little about fractals, but this is gracing my DT right now. Mind-boggling beauty and a superb entry. Fantastico!

Hats off Les on the light ....but most of all for the dark you did not lose the details in the dark outer rim so the image fills the screen a great entry.

The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB

The sky does look ominous! The bit of turquoise and pink really add to the image. Very cool one, indeed.
