This is a very interesting photo. the subjects are clearly captured in motion with a goal visible before them. The curve of the road hides their path to their destination giving us a bit of mystery, and the grass on the right frames the photo very well. My only suggestion might be to have the subjects closer to the bottom of the frame (read about the Rule of Thirds for more), and you might punch up the colors a bit, but otherwise an excellent image.

I find this picture a great way to capture the rural life in Vietnam. Good shot! :)

I agree that a tad closer to the people would have been better. You did get thirds in the picture, but in a different way: 1/3 dark hillside, 1/3 light road, 1/3 bamboo thicket. Overall a very good "action" shot that tells a distinct story.

Thank you for the comments. I had little time to really set this up. I was in the back of a large truck with an M16 over one shoulder, too much ammo, a few grenades and other necessities in a place where I really should not have been but I guess it came out fair. And yes, they were walking but "walking water" didn't quite sound right. Also, I developed this slide in a very uncontrolled and unfriendly environment and had to guess at the temps so I guess I was lucky that it came out as well as it did. :-) Tks all.
