Bob: I am sorry, but this is not 'Notre Dame de Paris'. NDP has no arrows on the towers (see picture ' Paris by night')

Thx, ppigeon... I did know better, I've seen both Notre Dame and Chartrês twice. There's not excuse for it really, except that on this occasion I visited both in the same day!

Oui, c'est probablement Chartres. Il s'agit d'une des plus belles cathedrale de France (et une des plus grandes aussi)

A wonderful Gothic cathedral, with a wealth of rose windows, the main facade dominated by its non-matching spires is well captured in this image.

the best Gothic cathedral... ever! None of the crowds, and a terrific labrynith, not to mention a great tour guide (can't remember his name though)

I don't know why, but I feel like making a flying buttress joke. Unfortunately I don't know any. Okay, a little research later I came across this one:
“Are you a pillar of the church?”
“No, I’m a flying buttress—I support it from the outside.” :)
Nicely captured and framed with the trees. A good view of the cathedral.
