I spent more time and paid more attention to detail in this image than any I have ever made. I want to thank Klas for the starter image which is really remarkable... and all of you fractal experts for the inspiration to create, by hand, a fractal of my own. This version ups (manually done) the highlights and the shadows, as well as some tweaking to the color, in order to make it seem more busy and filled out. Starter Image B

i almost forgot--- the title comes from there being thirty six of the pieces (can you find them all) of nine different sizes!

Nice job I like the scaling and color gradients.

Although I still believe a more defined focal point would work well here, this is an excellent manipulation with a fantastic reflection effect that gives the image a real sense of depth. Kudos.

Good job, Bob. Great combination of colors and the glasslike reflexions are first-rate.

oh-- another change was to make the transparency of the pieces more obvious, to further the illusion of it being glass

that's an interesting pic, very nice. I was a little sick of the green color, but here the shades are rather vivid and work well to give this depth... but I agree with Tracy, it needs a more defined focal point. The very little pieces on the left are a bit distracting as is the blue color I think.

Solid first-rate job. You really enhanced the image depth and colors and I who liked the first edition of it so much I couldnt' think of how it could get better. :) I'm glad you liked to work with this image. I think you made excellent use of it! Kudos! As I said in the last comment. The ninth size's round centerpiece covers the entire background, right? (I never got the answer before you put this version up. (If you gave it then.) ^_^)

ohh, yes, i did answer before i took the old one down-- you hit the nail on the head! the 9th size (and 36th piece) is the entire background itself.

This is an extremely good piece of work. You must have put a lot of effort into it. Good glass effect.

I am going through the gallery and asking everyone who hasn't done so to note in their comments which starter image they used, it is a requirement if you want to be included in the judging. Thanks!
