Sometimes you just do something really silly. Such was the case last week when I missed out on this image by driving away from my photo-shoot One Minute Before Sunrise, so this weekend after my long-suffering wife endured two days of ill-temper, I decided to try again this morning. This time I parked on the side of the highway fifteen minutes before sunrise, turned on my hazard indicator lights, and began snapping photos. About forty images later this was the result. My wife will be glad to have her husband back I am sure. **

Ah, but worth the wait! What a spectacular capture. This one goes into my favorites. Perfect framing, great pastels, the fog, and Wow, the bird.

You know this is my kind of image. Do you always put that much effort into getting up in time to take such a good shot? Maybe early mornings are warmer for you!! I know its only 2 degrees centigrade where I am at the mo!!

Thanks again Red

Beautiful shot Regmar! Congrats =) My only critique would be the small amount of noise near the bottom, but that's all I could find after looking for 5 minutes ;) Awesome job, faves *edit, sorry I called you Russ!! I just noticed it lol =X

How much more beautiful could a sunrise be? and to capture that momet..thats fantastic.!! What great photography.. and instead of putting one tree or maybe putting two in one spot..this is on each side, and its GREAT!! I have the sunsets here at the Pacific...and they are just as glorious as your sunrise...isnt it amazing what a camera can do? great job!!!

One of your best shots and one of the best I've seen on Caedes in quite a while. Your eye for composing this was so right on...I really don't want to get into a long analysis because it would spoil my utter appreciation of the image.

Man, we wives can be so demanding of our hubbies!!! :) Great shot, love the trees on either side of the sunrise and the bird flying by changes it from a good pic to a great one. I'm glad you went back and tried again (and didn't leave early this time) because we now are able to share in the beauty. Thank you. Regmar, you have always put lovely images up, but this one is up in your top 10. Great!!! Thank you!!!

Regmar,

You've commented on two of my photos now - but instead of the generic thank you I have decided to seriously critique at least a few of yours. This is not to kiss up - but rather because I do not come by new submissions that often.

This particular photo is absolutely stunning. The bird in the picture, the base of the trees fogged out - all of this is truly beautiful. I wonder how your other pictures turned out -- at dawn, after the sunrise, or at night with a sharp moon.
