I was stalking a heron recently when I realized I was standing in the middle of several tree frogs sleeping attached to bamboo stalks. Their instinct is to remail still when you approach rather than run, so I was able to get quite close to this fellow (?) before he sprang away in the blink of an eye.

He/she looks more like he's curled up ready for a nap than ready to spring into action. Neat shot. Little sucker blends right in. I can see how you didn't notice them right away.

Hey there, this is awesome. He looks so relaxed to be hanging on to a vertical branch like that. Great capture, hope he didn't pounce on your face.

Thanks for your comment on Showing Off. I must confess that you'd know much better than I the name of that bird. I was actually preoccupied with sandpipers on the beach when my girlfriend suggested I look up and that fellow was posing above my head. Glad you liked the image :)

The red frame fits the image and is nice, espoecially since it is the opposite colour to green. The issue of sharpness and clarity occurs in this pic too. The frogs head needs to be very sharp and it is less sharp than the body. The stalk could use some help too. His back (or her back) is clear and sharp. The whole frog needed this.
