Normally I would say the light in this one is to harsh but somehow it works with this one. I really like the way the stone under the water is poping out.

Looks like to much light in the trees in the backdround, an there is but, it filtered it where it works well, in my humble opinion

My first reaction to this photo was that it was a little overexposed. But I think you made it work. Shots like this were very common here last winter, but I never had any luck getting the light balanced. It's very difficult when you have a canopy filtering out almost all of the direct sunlight. You did a very good job on this. Surprisingly clear photo with an array of colors especially considering the difficulty in the lighting contrasts. Job well done.

First, I'd like to compliment you on your sense of compositon. The placement (ok..you didn't "put" it there) of the rock, the shooting perspective, etc are quite pleasing to the eye.

Looks, as already mentioned, a bit overexposed. Some work in Levels and Curves might help even this out a bit, providing you've got experience with these editing tools.

If I might suggest.. try cropping down a bit. Those blown out trees aren't doing much for the shot. Make the shot more about the water, and go from there.

Hope this helps.
