My son and I where driving to the metro parks when we drove by a swamp, so we walked to the swamp and eased our way to the edge of the swamp.

I like the use of foreground, always a GOOD thing, and I would imagine there are plenty of opportunities for fascinating images in this venue, both towards the water, and away .. but the blown out sky and lack of pop in the green (due to weather, time of day, exposure) leaves it a little short of its potential ..

methinks, that if you were to return to this local at different time of day, and or year .. packed a rifle for gators and crocs .. took your time with exposure and composition ... you could have a satisfying excursion

I am not one to recommend HDR processing .. but an image, exposure situation such as this, is a prime example of it usage ... if you do not have that capability, ASK somebody who posts such images, and maybe they'll do a re-work .. for grins and giggles

IN the learning process of making quality photo shots, I am not qualified to make helpful comments but in this case I think that perhaps it does need some help with Photoshop or another photo program to enrich the color.
