Art is the perception of the creator. Meaning is the perception of the viewer. acceptance is the perception of society.

Thanks, for the comments. I like water which is blurred like this and usually try to make it so. In this image, I actually had no choice because the light was actually pretty low.

The gardens are beautiful and very serene.

I like this. I think I will place into a photo editor and play with even more saturation and see what it looks like. You have indeed captured the creativity of the Janpanese who put this together.

This is just about perfect as it is, no need for more saturation etc. The exposure is perfect, and this is simply a georgeous shot. Well done!

In my opinion this is a "prettier" picture with the increased saturation. I understand your conflict about changing it from the way it really was, but that will always be your decision as an artist. Other folks will make suggestions, but you can choose whether to implement them or not.

Use your artistic license whenever you feel the need. Imagine this were an oil painting and you are placing the color on the canvas with each brushstroke. Keeping that in mind how would it affect your work on this specific image?

My opinion is this repost is much improved over the original. The added contrast and saturation are well worth the trouble, can you imagine having to do all of that outside of the digital arena? We've sure come a long way since the photography classes I took in college years ago, huh? It is a great shot, good composition and I love the waterfall.

Nice work. Your shot really captures the textures, structure and balance of Japanese style gardens.
