What a beautiful shot, and a good eye to spot how interesting this would be in a photo. I like the soft colors and lighting. What a sophisticated specimen, too. Nice!

You did very well to minimize shadows in this without making it all harsh and sharp edged. Depth of field is also excellent and the subject matter is very cool. I don't normally think of fungus as delicate but this one is. Great shot!

Not all beauty is obvious.
This caught my eye from the thumbnail because I knew it would be a great pic even from there. I love the contrast between the soft curves and the sharp lines of the ... ahh ... underpetals? (Have no idea what the correct technical term is!) Also that little glow in the upper center is great. Interesting color contrast with the cream and the greeny-dark background.
