In Vail the setting September sun turned seemed to fire up the colors on an already beautiful landscape. This was the view from his back porch. Routine for him; memorable for me.

Side bar: this view is no more - my friend's property line was the fence; someone built a beautiful (but large) home on the lot next door. This vista now exists only on film.
