THE SEA
It called to me when I was young
It called again when I grew old
Why does it call?
When I was young I followed it
but the Navy was not for me.
Dedications, longing then loneliness were passions felt.
Hours and hours I spent working.
Dreaming and thinking of better times.
I was let down by the sea.
I'm older now .
The smells seem fresher at times.
The sea fills my nostrils
and not my mind.
I know now its was only a childs game.
Things were precious then

When I loved the sea.
