Taken from high above the Hudson river. Landscape today is well mancured garden. The Indians and traders would be lost in the modern world of today. Taken from a six foot table in the rear of a mansion. Welcome to the Hudson.

Frogs

I was sitting in my outhouse,
reading a book along came a frog to take a look.
I read him a page, then read him two
I really did not know quite what to do.

When I got up to go, he yelled at me
so I sat back down so I could see:
The frog was standing up on his legs
and in his hands he held two pegs.
The one on the right was very small,
the one on the left was very tall.

He said, "Pick one and make it right
or you'll turn into a frog tonight."
So being smart and being bright
I picked the left and not the right.

Well I turned green and my eyes went pop,
and so I started out to hop.
I should have picked the right, not the left,
but I didn't know which was the best.
I only miss reading, and that's very sad.

So if you read to me in the outhouse tonight,
pick the left and not the right.
I'll change back and jump up and down
and you can "ribbit," all around town.
