Just one I wanted some opinions on. Don't know if I will keep it up too long but just wanted to see if it works or not as an image. Please leave comments and especially suggestions. Taken on the fishing trip. Hope you like.

Usually, plain photos like this are the best ones because you didn't try to doctor it up and make it something it's not. It's a very pleasant photo and I think you should leave it right where it belongs - posted on Caedes.

I agree, it is a great photo. I would leave it up too. Nice work Sir R!

I'm no expert either, but I find the compostion pleasing, the focus dead on, and the colors pleasant and calming. Is it going to win a Pulitzer? Nope, but sure makes for a nice desktop!

Yes I think it does, largely because of the meadow with flowers and the understated blues and greens. There's no clear focus point but I don't think that's too much of a problem, this can be enjoyed for the sense of space and tranquility.

It is pleasant, as stated by those who commented before me. And I'd agree with just about everything else too.

What I will offer, that I hope will be of some use, is some advice for "re-structuring" the shot.

The grass, while pleasant, is a bit too abundant in the foreground, creating a bit of neutral, or even "dead" space. At the same time, the trees feel a bit crammed in at the top of the frame. A wee bit of tilt in the upward direction, for a future shot, would resolve both.

Second, for this shot, the trunks, and main branches of the trees are a bit too deeply shadowed. Maybe a bit of "Shadow/highlight" adjustment in PS might help here. It'll show more detail, and give the image as a whole a bit more dimention.

Lastly, try tooling around in "Selective Color", also in PS. Particular attention to the yellow, green, and neutral channels might be the most helpful.

Ok, all done. Time to exit before I've worn out my welcome, if I haven't done so already. Please take my words in the spirit in which they were offered, that being helpfulness.

Please, even if you don't visit my gallery, check out my "Faves".I've left them intact since day "1", and would like it if every image there got the attention they deserved.
