Hair-trigger mouse click ... and ... window AND commentary gone.

One more time ...

I like that through your post processing, most of the colour within frame is relegated to that of the boat. Effectively bringing it to the foreground more so.

Which segues to a caveat and a suggestion.

Tad busy. Tad.

Curious what the end visual results would be if you added some more 'black'. Midtones, particularly. 'Cause ...

Comparing thumbnail (less gamma stuff happening) to that of a full-size view?

Seems to tame some of the business and in turn, and once again ... put more focus on that of the boat.

Some creative food for thought then ... and I get to take a bow for keeping my thoughts coherent and cohesive and bringing things back full circle.

:oD

Found my artistic soft spot with this one here, Rob. As I do quite like the illustrative look. (My own roots rest there in the traditional arts.)

Oh, last thing ... might have been tempted to rotate things clockwise a degree or whatever it would take to make the verticals ... vertical.

/\ This is me nit-picking, really.

Care to share the original? For comparative purposes? Looks like a nice shot.

Just keep playing in Paint.net, this is great!!

Methinks a bit more black for the contrast and to bring out the boat a bit more couldn't harm the picture...in my humble opinion..

I also like the illustrative look on this one:o)

Great work on this image, Rob. Love the line drawing effect and the colouring in the photo. An interesting scene.

Think about the photo before and after, never during. The secret is to take your time. You mustn't go too fast. The subject must forget about you. Then, however, you must be very quick. Henri Cartier-Bresson

I like this one very, very much! Like Les, I like the bright color coming forward on the boat, while the monotones are in the background. Busy background, yes... but so is a harbor and a city... felt just right to me. :)
