Bbbrrrrr I know it's not a spider, but it still gives me the kreeps!
Very good macro though!! You can even see the little bugger has red eyes. Excellent!

Gabbels, I don't think the red pouches are it's eyes - those are the small brown spots on top of the head. Assassin bugs use the hinged, pointed structure on their heads to inject a toxic saliva into their prey which dissolves the inside of the victim. The assassin bug then sucks out the fluid - akin to what spiders do. I'm guessing, but I think the red pouches are either a poison sac or a muscle to control the killing probe. These bugs are also notorious for inflicting a very painful bite on humans if they aren't handled very carefully. They're small but mighty I'd say.
