Thank you for the nice comments everyone, I appreciate them all. This shot was taken awhile ago and has been sitting in a to do folder. Unfortunately, I don't have a record of what plant it was. I'll update and notify you if I find out. And if you like these blossoms, I highly recommend you check out the Royal Poinciana (Delonix regia). It's a much bigger, but equally extravagant flower. And the trees have gorgeous fern-like leaves too. I took this shot of a blossom a few years back:
