That is one happy duck (living in such a place)
Not sure about the rocks in the front, you might want to crop the orange one, (the overexposed one at the right is a bit more difficult).
Great capture
!Happy new year, hope you enjoy 2007!

Thanks for sharing

this caught my eye (ouch) as i was looking at the new images gallery. i'd agree with the suggestion to crop, and maybe crank up the shadows or contrast a bit. the composition and subject however..are quite a nice sight. thanks for posting it.

I disagree with the other guys. The rock in the lower left corner definitely has to go, but cropping it would remove too many of the other good rocks and take away from the surrounding details of the duck. I would darken the rock to take the overexposure out but still keep the same image size.

He looks a cold little thing but it's a great shot, well done.

I like this duck capture Nick ... especially like your catching it in shallow water with all the many shaped and multi-colored stones below the water showing so well. Enjoyable post my friend.

Just an old "Grampa" who still has a Kodak "Box" camera kicking around the attic ... learning and enjoying the wonders of modern digital photography.
