Even as the world celebrates May day today,
these hardworking labourers migrated from
the nighbouring states working 8 to 12 hrs.
a day. Taken from my village.
I don't think Americans celebrate May Day in the tradition that Europeans do. That's too bad. I remember doing a May Day dance with a Maypole in third grade though. These men sure work hard and those are long hours. Doesn't give them enough time to rest up for the next day's work. I suppose they are used to it now. I can see that it is really very hot there too. Those who don't have to do such tedious hard work, should count their blessings, but then an idle mind is the result of idle hands sometimes so maybe they are the blessed ones. Allahu alim.
I agree with Cindy before me completely and absolutely.
For Poland the celebration became somewhat embarassing after the communism ended so we celebrate today our 5th anniversary of accession to European Union LOL, tomorrow is the Flag Day and day after we celebrate xxxth anniversary of our constitution which was one of the first [if not the very first one] in the world.
*I personally envy the fellow standing with his back to the viewer - he has such beautifully shaped and looooong legs - mine are borrowed or stolen from a duck LOL*
i agree with marz and cindy... and am lmao at the thought of marz looking like a duck! i feel sorry for them they have to work that many hours, thats hard work. good shot.
What an interesting photo. And the hard work these men are putting in with the wood cutting and moving. Here in Oregon there is a lot of woodcutting too, but the men have it much easier here. Altho it is always a workout for sure. Wow, just take a look at those muscles on these guys. Talk about strong!
Thanx for a look at the area where you live. Nicely done. V
