Continuous heavy rain forced the concerned department to close the school for a couple of days, and children got a chance to celebrate . A view from my village.

A present from heaven - two days off because of rain! Interesting shot with good clarity.

If practice makes perfect and nobody is perfect, then why practice?

What fun. I remember getting excited when school was closed because of snow. These children appear to be making the most of their free time. Great shot, Sayed.

We have been deprived of such priviledges in my childhood - once in a while you only heard about some schools closed due flu epidemic but on the other end of the country.
WE NEVER GOT ANY CHANCE
I hereby protest !!!!

They look like they are having great fun. Its so nice to see children out playing like this, sadly its not something you see so much over here anymore.

I like the simplicity of the things they were doing and playing with. No need for expensive toys. Kids over here are spoiled. And they don't know how to truly 'play' anymore. Parents over here dont take the time either.Schools close much too fast in snow and rain here, it's fun for the kids, but most parents are at work, and so no one is with the kids. But in a few places out in the countryside where I live, life is still simpler. I like that very much. Thank you for sharing your little world with us all. Verena

Life is not about waiting for the storms to pass...it's about learning how to dance in the rain!

I totally agree with what Verana said above.
