A couple of days before I had a chance to visit a farm house and I saw this wonderful Ant colony. An ant colony is an underground lair where ants live.Colonies consist of a series of underground chambers, connected to each other and the surface of the earth by small tunnels. There are rooms for nurseries, food storage, and mating. The colony is built and maintained by legions of worker ants, who carry tiny bits of dirt in their mandibles and deposit them near the exit of the colony, forming an ant-hill.(Courtesy Wikipedia)

Sayed....

You certainly live in a wonderland. Maybe next time you can climb on the mound and get some close ups. Roll yourself in honey, that way the ants'll leave you alone. :-)

Wow look a that!! I have never seen a proper ant hill before, here they just live under my garden walls. Thats such an amazing structure, more so when you think of the tiny little insects that built it.

Very interesting subject. Isn't that ants dangerous? Certainly very different than the ones in my country.
