Well this is a first for me, went out and about today with Ian ( Fra99y ) and took my first ever Butterfly, I was quiet pleased with it, any comments are most welcome. Canon EOS 400D 70-210 Canon USM, ISO 100, 210MM f3.5 1/125 sec......I think.

A fine shot...I can never get these critters to sit still long enough to even raise my camera. I guess it's that blue glow I give off when I'm excited.

I've found lately that the ones that have stuck around this fall just sit and fold their wings so nicely and don't flutter or budge until they're ready to fly away...so I get a lot of closed wing shots, but you've gotten lucky here!!

Well, if this is your first, I certainly hope it's not your last! You are a wonderful butterfly photographer now, Mark.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes
