This is one of the highest places on Dartmoor, 5 miles north of Princetown, very open, very wild, and very cold, not the place to be on a snowy day . . .
Well I know its the wrong area but I immediately thought "Wuthering Heights". It looks a bleak and, well, wuthering, landscape but you have captured a warmth in the colours. I am most impressed with this. Good work :)
"I never looked for it, gave it no name; yet I knew it always, when the gift of peace came. I stood quite still for the moment that it lasted...Then the light shifted slightly and the moment passed, leaving me...with the lasting echo of its presence.." Diana Gabaldon
"The more we come in contact with animals, and observe their behaviour, the more we love them, for we see how great is their care for their young." - philosopher Immanuel Kant
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

Hello Mark....This is another fine picture of Dartmoor...Your camera work certainly captures the remotness of Dartmoor, yet you are still able to show off the outstanding natural beauty...I am afraid this picture has twisted my arm to make a visit....Well done....All the best....Mick.
