Looks like a rather steep embankment. That one tree is already on it's way into the water. Maybe that explains the fence. It is a lovely place for a fall hike it seems though and very much in the shade. I like your frame.

Why do the pictures come out square when the lens is round?? Picture Purrrfect .
I the picture could be better if the lighting was a little bit better so you could see the color. Overall it is a very picture.
