Mira River - Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. This is truly a magical place with incredible scenery. Picture taken from a boat in the middle of the river. There is a wide area between Marion Bridge and Albert Bridge. For those keeping score at home, this is looking down river towards Albert Bridge. There's a song (Song for the Mira) with the lines: "Can you imagine a piece of the universe more fit for princes and kings? I'll give you ten of your cities for Marion Bridge and the pleasure it brings." This one is for all the great folks up there!

Friends are like shining stars. You may not always see them, but you know they are always there for you.
Nice shot, very calming. It looks the slightest bit pixelated or something though, especially in the sky, it'd be perfect without that.

Wow, it looks so serene and placid. The reflection is almost more vibrant than the real sky, too. Looks like a beautiful place to kayak. Oh, and really nice capture, by the way :-)

Thanks! The pixelation was probably due to it being taken with my old camera so the quality is just not quite there. I may tweak it in Photoshop which could get rid of some of the grainyness.

The reflection is just awesome, but like you said its a tad grainy. Unfortunetly I dont think editing is going to help, you might beable to get rid of some grainess but you may lose something else. I guess you can give it a try. Let me know how it works out for you.
