When I was growing up in Oregon we'd call these little streams, "cricks". Here in Virginia, they are "runs". This is Deep Run, which I saw on a very cold day with a low sun. Fortunately the sun was high enough to catch the beech trees in the background. Deep Run eventually empties into the Rappahannock River, which is about 3 miles away. Thanks for coming to take a look.

Gorgeous capture and love the colour, lighting and especially the composition, brings back memories for me, thanks for this beauty

I'm with you on that Sharon, calling them cricks, I'm originally from North Carolina and lived them until I was 13.

Excuse my accent, but we called these brooks.
A lovely looking scene. I like the accent of colour and light in the background.

I agree with Wendell, the light and the touch of color sets this image off. Very nice work.

Hello Sharon....This is a lovely woodland scene which you have capture superbly...The cold snow and the warm light through the trees really makes this picture standout....Well done....All the very best to you Sharon.....Mick.
