I hope no one was hurt during the making of this one :o)
Quite disturbing and morbid manipulation... I like it. I can't say it would be something I would want to maintain on my screan, but, it certainly moved me, that's for sure. I have a soft spot for eyes, and to see the haunted look and a welling of tears in her eyes slapped me up quite a bit. Good work. *bow*

i do think this is done very well however this is not one of my fav images of yours katie not because of the subject matter (that dosnt bother me) but just it, i like the others more.

i dont at all say shame on you i say keep trying with your trend it is something different to almost everything on here and different is good (though most people dont like things that arnt mainstream)

I'm not seeing the problem with it!!!! why is everyone so uptight over a little bit of a morbid image?... quite frankly... this image is not that bad (morbid wise). I think it is very well done, and i love it. Good Job Katie! If these are the types of images that you love to create... DON'T let ANYONE stop you. I think they are awesome and I tend to love things that are different, (like your images). I'm not sure why the others are complaining .... (which needs to be stopped.. this is NOT a place for people to have their images put down...) but don't let them stop you from doing what you love. Best of luck! ~*~ Amanda~*~

This is a Wallpaper site and I wouldn't think anyone would want this picture on their monitor screen to "enjoy" or feel whatever each day. I think there is beauty in life in every possible way. I know there is much pain, but truthfully, do any of us really need that reminder in this way? And if it is considered "morbid" by you or others, do we really, honestly, want this image as a wallpaper. Some pictures are here for the enjoyment of the "art" created, that's true, but let's be really upfront, this is not the kind of photo that the "majority" of people who come here would like to see. Of course I can't really speak for them, I will speak for myself....but this is my opinion. thanx..

i think this is a fine and interestingly conceived image and it appears to be doing the job of art by being thought provoking & challenging so bravo for that.

That majority can stuff it... :P Or at least make itself heard other then by a few... Great piece here. Not my favourite either so far (I just loved the other one I looked at yesterday, "Wicked Destruction").

I must say to some extent this piece hurts my eyes to look at this to some extent, I'm not used to the darkness in this shape (but I do recognise the feelings). Mine got another flavour. (If you feel you need to talk some just send me a PM.)

There are so many ways of expressing the experience of being human. You bring forth some great issues I feel, so keep it up. But there is another side of the darkness. You need it to see the light... ;) Don't listen to the nay sayers, it's not in their place to judge you. I know you knew that, I just felt like saying it anyway.

Shame on you? I would put shame on those shunning this image. So shame on those who would vote badly on this based on its morbidness.

Honestly, this one took quite a bit of skill. It can be rather difficult to make blood look realistic (very easy to make it look too fake and bright red). You made this one pretty convincing. I'm not too sure about the copied right side, but it makes no difference to me. I think you did an excelently thought-out job. Please create more images of this quality and substance. Nice job, high marks

Hey, since this isn't the pic everyone thought I was talking about on the discussion board, I'll leave me ole' comment...I like it...a lot, actually like all the pieces you've brought so far to Caedes and to my friend Verenabloo, who's possitive light and poems, brings a smile to my face. I sowwie but my art from college days, make this look like a fine daisey in a pretty pasture. In my short stay here on Caedes, my first impression was that the site needed a balance of pretty pictures (yes, i do consider them art too) and real thought provoking art. It's all about balance and your work brings some of that into the "picture"...Damn, there I go again acting like my thoughts matter ; )
And lastly to my dear Morwyn, I'm not riding the fence here, these are my beliefs and my issue with the other is not the same

Personally, I don't understand what all the fuss is about - I think it's pretty cool! Ok, so I guess you have to have a sort of unique taste to *enjoy* this sort of art...but am I considered disgusting for doing so?
Anyway Katie...great work! I love the dark intensity of everything though I would have liked to see a bit more variation in the textures...but apart from that, well done! :]

Hi Katie. You're getting some traffic on this one, eh? Regardless of the c-index you wind up with I'd say you succeeded with this work if only because you generated so much interest. Morwyn I don't know how to respond. I like you and I respect your work, but if Katie has something to say, then she should say it. Specially among us her friends it should be OK for her to speak her mind. Please don't resent me for disagreeing with you. Is your use of the tears of blood related to the feelings you told us about in "Without You Here"? This image is also not my favorite of yours, because it disturbs me so much, but you did a good job on it.

I think this wallpaper s a great contribution to this site. It is so refreshing to see such an expressive, honest image, it took my breath away. Your image is going in my favorites. I can identify with the feelings - Thank you.

Alex
