One thing that Caedes has done for me, is to make me look at my own photography from a new perspective. You are all sooooo good and much of what I see is incredibly inspiring too. I picked up the camera the other day and wondered into my back garden to see if I could do what many have done here. Create a good photo from something really simple. This is my strawberry plant looking pretty sorry for itself on a cold, but sunny day. I've not tweaked the photo at all.. so what do you think and how could it be improved?

hehe i hope you are not gonna regret asking me for my opinion on this one... in my opinion this lacks a focal point, its just a mishmash of leaves in a pot, try focusing on one or two selective leaves, get in there close, spray some water drops on them or just show the details of a leaf or two, or part of a leaf, make it a macro is what im trying to say i guess. :-) hope that helps!

Very nice and up close shot, you can see a lot of detail in this and you did a very good job.

Ask and you shall receive - I must agree with, JQ above. The first thing I noticed was that it appears you stood above the subject for the shot. You've got to get down in the dirt and on the same level most times. Single out a focal point - this is confusing.

Pause-

David, I just went and looked at your gallery and this image looks like it was taken by someone else. By that I mean that the quality of the images in your gallery is far and away above this. Your a better photographer than this - I don't get it -
