I love the way that sky looks darker than the horizon. Makes the whole thing look so moody.

like this. this grain and strong contrast give a great 'old atmosphere' to it. reminds me of these 'old movies'. full of dark melancholy... a good shot^^

Beautiful. Love the shadowing on the front of the building. Very moody.

The grainy black and white texture to this picture really works. I must agree, very moody.

Great capture good burn work and I agree with the grain and having the look of an aged image. well done.

Art is the perception of the creator. Meaning is the perception of the viewer. acceptance is the perception of society.

Great interpretation using high contrast of light and shadow; reminds me a bit of the ghost town buildings you'd see here in the southwest US.

I'm with Tracey. The contrasts between the light and dark are really evocative. The choice of black and white makes the image seem lonely. Also the framing is important in this image. with the sky behind it and nothing else in the frame this building could be all alone on a prairie for all we know. Only the photographer knows...

reminds me of the Thatcher years.... :)
Beautiful shot, and I agree with everyone about the atmosphere this image creates, and the loneliness envoked by it. It doesn't seem like the England most of us know!

I just came across this when i was looking for something.. great shot, looks very spooky, great lighting, love the b&w gives it a very mysterious lonely feel to it.... very well done... I was wondering where this was taken, I used to live in the North East..

Very cool shadow work. That grain looks like film grain. Is it? What speed film was it?

I love this its so powerful. It reminds of a building in Liverpool I went past not long after the Toxteth riots. I really like your use of black and white, adds to the sadness of the building somehow.
