Was out with Zulu, walking in the rain, a camera under my jacket. The rain stopped, a few minutes before I came upon these flowers, that were just beginning to open. As uusual, I don't know what they are, but I have a friend who will enlighten us, if you care to check back, later.

A very beautiful shot. I have seen these flower's before, but I am not sure of the name either. Obviously it had been raining, but I like how you captured the raindrops on the stem & flower petals. I really love the backround too.... I can make out a path leading to somewhere. A great capture.

The isolation of these flowers really does the job of producing a fine capture. Again I say "Ain't nature grand?

Nice shot Doug. I would have the doors closed too on a day like that. Good work.

I feel like I am fading. I've lost the Holy Ground. Maybe there's a chance, that the lost will be found. If you saw a possum on the side of the road, would you too?

I would say hosta as well but it is too early in the season for them to be blooming in the north. Where/when was the picture taken?
It is an elegant shot with the sharp focus on the opening blossoms including the raindrops and the nicely blurred background.

Your camera has a wonderful Macro setting! I really like the subtle path/road out of focus in the background.

What an excellent picture! Has a gentle relaxing mood to it. The darker greens and path in background really help make this photo.
Thanks for sharing this one...

Doug, they are lovely, and the water sure does add character to them.
It is nice even on a sunny day to carry a small water bottle and spray your flowers before taking the shots, lol.

Were the leaves of the plant low to the ground with the flower stalks shooting up out of it? Because this is surely a hosta. You're in a different temperate zone and it could very well be time for them to bloom, I've got another month- month and a half to go. I love how saturated this is, the water is so heavy it weighs some of the petals closed. I also like the hint of the path in the long view, An inviting journey left to finish
