Since it's the end of the Winter season here's one of my street/lane, what it looks like after first snow, and why I don't mind living out in the boon docks.... (except on rare occasions when the lanes are ice covered).

Horse and sled come to mind for travelling those roads!....

Great perspective, and well shot too...no sign of blown highlights either

Let me see if I've got this right ... As winter finally, finally draws to an end you show us a photo of it starting all over again. Good thing this is such a beautiful photograph or I'd report you to Caedes management for mental cruelty. I like the sweeping effect the tracks contribute to the roadway. The light and shadow are impressively vibrant.

It must have been a beautiful day. The delicate white branches are lovely against the blue blue sky.

A great marketing ploy Doug. Everyone else is through posting winter shots and now you have the market cornered.
Very nice work on this shot. Good lighting and nice shadows falling across the lane. A good perspective in your photo.

I agree with Ed completely on this one, Doug. After a brutal winter (by California standards), today I awoke to blue skies for the first time in two months. No rain, no fog, no hail. It's 74°F right now, and you decide to give us this beautiful shot of your road at the beginning of winter. Apparently you don't understand the rules here at Caedes; so let me enlighten you. In spring time you are to submit two to three months worth of flower photos. Summer is landscape time or shots of you and the grand kids enjoying an ice cream cone on your vacation (preferably in a boat). In autumn we expect to see two months of colorful foliage shots. This shot was supposed to have been posted in December when all postings are to be dreary shots of leafless trees and snow drifts under cold, gray skies. Come on, get with the program.

I live out in the boon docks also. A beautiful snow scene & I love the lighting on the trees & shadow play across the lane. Everything looks so peaceful. Excellent capture, Doug.

I love these peaceful snow covered winter lanes Doug. Nice places to walk and gather thoughts. From reading other's comments, I believe the consensus is all are ready for springtime weather. (It has arrived in northern Italy!)

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . .
