Thought I'd check out the Bedford millrace a couple of days ago, on my way home. As it turned out, the colour was up close and personal. Hope you enjoy it as I did.

Bold vibrance, blue sky, rapidly running white rapids...what could make for a pleasanter Autumn scene that this? Well composed, of course and lots of fine definition making that water appear to be on the move even as we view it.

Hi, Doug...

I have no idea what the Berford millrace is. My understanding is that mills are stationary objects. How can they race and where would they go?

Cindy is on a roll with her prose today. She already said it better than I could. Beautiful colors and wonderful capture of the rapids. Hope you were wearing your boots. Or that is one of the lowest bridges in Madison County.

Lovely vivid Fall colors, but the water color seems a bit off to me. I like the sharpness in the movement of the water although it seems to have to black a cast for the color in it's surroundings. It's just my opinion though.

Wow, the river is moving rather fast & it's gray color contrasts nicely with the reds / oranges / greens. Beautiful fall capture, Doug.

A great capture of the racing water and great colours in the foliage. A nice angle and perspective in the photo.

The difference between a bad artist and a good one is: the bad artist seems to copy a great deal; the good one really does. ~William Blake
