Didn't know what to call this. Taken by a friend of mine who passed away just before Christmas, it was taken last year when I visited the East coast. I was walking out through what I call the sea grass, to where I'd be able to include the Atlantic Ocean. It was just a couple hundred yards from where I'm standing. Just a basic compact digital camera, no photographic training, and guess who got the best, and most dramatic shot.

Ain't that the way it goes. A nice dramatic scene and good b/w capture. Wonderful work.

This is a cracker pal...dead centred too...the B&W tones works well with this!...minimilistic at it's best!

It certainly pulls you into the scene. In fact the clouds and the figure (you) don't really give you a choice. lol It is powerful, especially in black and white. Sometimes shots are just serendipitous just like this.

Perspective is a good title for this very intersting shot.

The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB

If you're looking for suggestions I'd title this one 'The Call Of The Horizon' because, as noted above, it stirs a feeling of being impelled horizonward (I make up words when necessary). No photographic training, huh? It reminds me of the saying, The Titanic was built by professionals, Noah's ark was built by amateurs. A stunning photo.

Man oh man, I wish I could write like Ed.

That was a pretty sad narrative, Doug. Sorry to hear about your friend. He did good. If there was ever a shot that was made for black and white, this is it. The drama is palpable.

Kind of dark and moving, but it draws your eye around the photo again and again. Nice work here Doug.
