Not the best quality from this forty year old slide, but it was a memorable occasion. This was a stopping viewpoint on the Rocky Mountain Drive just North of Boulder Colorado. We parked about 200 yards/meters below this point and at just over 12,000 feet elevation. The young lady with outstretched arms is my oldest daughter, Jennifer, and the youngster at the bottom right is my youngest daughter, Melissa. The other two kids up top were next door neighbours who, along with their parents, had never been more than 50 miles from home in Eastern Ontario, Canada. They borrowed a truck camper and we all headed out to Yellowstone. The reason I added the lower clouds is because when we were standing at highway level and looking down into a deep valley, the clouds were between us and the valley floor and it was quite an experience.

Did you ever return for them, or are they still running wild in the wilderness?
A nice family memory you've preserved and presented here Doug. Nice colours and textures in the image.

The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
