I didn't even see this little bird until I walked right under it... he chirped at that point and I looked up... several adult swallows were flying around him so I put two and two together and figured he must be of the same persuasion... no, he didn't 'spit' in my eye but he did stay put long enough for his portrait...

It was nice of him to stay for the portrait. Against the deep blue sky, the details of the bird are striking.

I did a memory flashback to Anne Rice and her "fledgling" vampires. I do not think this young fellow would know that reference. But he is special in his own right. Nice capture Mary.
